Reykjavik Culture Night Website
The largest cultural festival in Iceland, Menningarnott, is held for the 14th time this year on 22 August. It is packed with fun events for the whole family from early morning and ending with the fantastic fireworks display at 23:00. This year's theme is "the town's houses" and one of the festival highlights is an invitation by inhabitants to visit a home in the city centre, have some waffles and coffee and get to know the hosts.
Gagarin provides the system for displaying information about the events at Menningarnott on its official website www.menningarnott.is. The system includes a timeline and a map system that gives people a good overview of the full schedule of the day, events' time and place. It is possible to make your own customised schedule, print out and take with you into the centrum.
Reykjavík Culture Night is a free event. Reykjavík Jazz Festival also coincides with Culture Night this year, so there will be plenty of jazz music on offer on Culture Night too.
